Our History

With many years of experience, you can rely on us

Cheshire Pest Control has always been based in Warrington and has been providing a wide range of environmental services around the county and parts of Manchester/Liverpool regions since it was established in 1997.

It is a family run business started by the proprietor Jon Coombs who has been involved in pest control since a young age, starting his career as a gamekeeper and gaining his first Predator and Pest Control Scotvec qualification in Scotland 1990.

During employment within the pest control industry, Jon went to sit the British Pest Control Diploma Part 1 in 1996 followed by the British Pest Control Diploma Part 2 in 1997, he then went on to focus on developing the business and was awarded the NVQ Level 3 Business Owner Manager Standards by the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry with support from Warrington Business Venture, this was also recognised at the time when he won Warrington’s Rotary Club award to assist new businesses.

We are a supported business connected to the ‘Prince’s Trust’. Whilst exhibiting at the Cheshire County Show, Jon had the privileged opportunity of presenting the business to its president HRH The Prince of Wales and other dignitaries at other events such as Lord Leverhulme. In association with the trust, Cheshire Pest Control was awarded recognition at the 1999 Start up Young Business Awards by Malcolm Brinded, Shell U.K. Country Chairman.
